About us
For the last 50 years, we have been catering to the insurance and financial needs of our clients. As we age, the economy changes and so do our individual situations. That's why, at Courter Financial, we strive to stay abreast of not only the newest options available to our clients, but more importantly, to the most suitable options available to meet their needs and goals.
Our basic premise is that the families of each of our clients deserve the protection and peace of mind of a sound financial/insurance plan; and it is our job to provide the most efficient and inexpensive way to achieve that protection.

Robert J. Courter (Bob)
is a licensed insurance broker and the founder of Courter Financial Services, LLC. Bob started this business using a small section of his family room for an office. As his family grew, so did the size of the office. He has been helping clients protect themselves, their families, and their property with high-quality insurance and customer service since 1972. He specializes in Property & Casualty insurances such as Farm, Home, Auto, Boat, Rv, Motorcycle and Flood coverages as well as Church, Christian School, and Business insurance coverages. Bob also prepares Taxes for his insurance clients.
Justin P. Doherty
is also a licensed insurance broker. Justin joined the office in July 2010. He handles Property & Casualty insurance, but primarily focuses on the Life & Health Insurance needs of our clients. He specializes in supplemental Medicare needs such as Medicare Supplements, Advantage Plans, and Part D drug plans. In addition, he handles Obamacare (under age 65 health insurance), Annuities, Long Term Care Insurance, and Ancillary products including Hospital Indemnity, Cancer/Critical Illness, Travel, and Dental/Vision/Hearing plans. Justin prepares Taxes for his insurance clients as well.
Tasha E. Strouse (Courter)
is our Office Administrator and a licensed insurance broker. She specializes in Property & Casualty Insurance. Tasha has been assisting our clients since 2003. She enjoys getting to know each of our clients and helping make their lives (and ours) easier. The personalized and caring service she provides each and every client is unmatched.
