Get to know us

In 1972, through prayer and faith, Bob Courter followed the Lord's leading and started Courter Financial Services. At that time, he was using a small section of his family room for his office. As his family grew, so did the insurance business. By the time his children were in college, the entire family room became the office. From the beginning, catering to the insurance and financial needs of our clients has been the foremost goal of our office.

Although he spent many years working on his own, at various times, Bob's children worked for him in both sales and customer service. In 2010, his daughter came back to work with him at the same time he hired a new agent. In 2011, the business transitioned to an LLC and slightly changed its name accordingly. Since that time, we've continued to help hundreds of clients across Pennsylvania (and other states as well) with their retirement and insurance needs.

We represent Property & Casualty Insurance options for Pennsylvania. And as of 2022, we also represent Life & Health Insurance options in Pennsylvania, Delaware, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Ohio, Indiana, Colorado, Texas, and Connecticut.

Our mission

We're on a mission to help our clients understand their options and make informed decisions about their coverage. As we age, our situations change and so do the amounts and types of insurance coverage we need. That's why we keep in touch with our clients to update their coverage as necessary. Rather than offering one service or another, we want to combine as many as possible and make our clients' lives easier and affordable. Our goal is to match our clients with the protection they want and a company they can trust.

Our vision

We believe everyone deserves the protection and peace of mind of a sound financial/insurance plan; and it is our job to provide the most efficient and inexpensive way to achieve that protection. That's why we strive to stay abreast of not only the newest options available to our clients, but more importantly, to the most suitable options available to meet their needs and goals.
